Melissa & Hans- Family photo shoot

Sunday I took some portraits of Melissa's family.  When I was editing them I just kept finding myself smiling at how cute they were and laughing at a lot of the silly ones of the kids (not posted here!).   We had a lot of fun taking these at CCV- the kids were so patient and cooperative... it is funny because everyone kept telling Carson to smile as it seemed like he was not into the pictures but as they turned out... I think he has some of the cutest poses and smiles that are just all natural!

I LOVE this one!!

Cute family(-:

Beautiful Rachel:

Sometimes I wonder if Rachel is a really short 16 year old... not a tall 6 year old(-:

See what I mean about the natural cuteness!?!?

And a few in the Christmas outfits(-:

Thanks Schmidt Family!!  Hope you like the pictures!

My baby is Two!

I cannot believe that tomorrow my "baby" will be two years old...  I've heard parents say it my whole life but now I feel it... "the time goes so fast when they're little!"  I have truly enjoyed it all though.. except for a little bit of her new found independence!  I attempted to take some two year portraits of Miss Madeline but she was not at all interested in looking at the camera or laughing at all the things I would say that would normally make her laugh!!  I think she knew the goal for the day and was letting me know who was in charge(-:

On Saturday we had her birthday party.. Elmo theme of course since she is LOVES Elmo! Here she was helping me make the frosting for her cake "toooweeee!!!!" she would say ("stir!") to let me give her a turn stirring(-:

This perfectly shows her mood before the party.. luckily once the other kids showed up she was happy and played well with them the whole time!

The Elmo cake of course!!   It was fun to do but quite labor intensive.. if only they had disposable cake decorating tips.. I just HATE washing those!!

Jill & Frank's Wedding in Sedona

Last Saturday I got to shoot my first wedding in Sedona.  It was the most perfect weather and everyone in the wedding was so great.  Rebecca with Why Not Capture It? was so great to let me second shoot and give me the low down on wedding photography.  It was such a great experience and I'm in love with it all!!  Here are some shots I got during the day.

I love these next two shots. I think they really capture how gorgeous the whole setting was!

Frank's Grandma (Oma they called her-- German for Grandma) was the cutest lady I've ever seen.  She kissed EVERYONE she went by... I'm so glad I caught this after the ceremony:
I love how Frank's parents are watching so happily during the vows(-:
